Description / Notes
In the 1950s the Cariboo Historical Society was formed to document and preserve the past, and by 1963 they had assembled enough material to open a museum. A half century later the museum has expanded to three galleries of professionally curated exhibits plus extensive archives. One of the pleasures of touring the museum is the number of items on display from all eras. Every visitor is sure to find something that evokes nostalgic memories. The Museum is open daily, 9:30 am - 5:00 pm from May 24th to September 4th. Contact the Museum to book appointments year-round. You will find more information about Quesnel's history and archival resources at the Museum website.
