Description / Notes
Also known as the Nuxalk-Carrier Grease trail, the Alexander Mackenzie Heritage Trail is a 450 km long route from the intersection of the Blackwater and Fraser Rivers just outside Quesnel to the Sir Alexander Mackenzie Provincial Park in the Deal Channel north of Bella Coola. There are several smaller hikes that make up part of the larger trail, and the route crosses through alpine trails, paved highway, a river and a fjord. The entire trek takes three weeks, so make sure to prepare accordingly.
