Coming up in the Island Mountain Arts Public Gallery 44(H) x 50(Y). Opening July 16th at 6 pm, to August 16th. Kari Fisher is an artist working across interior design, floral design, permaculture, and celluloid filmmaking. Her practice explores the experience of dispersion through the blending of interior and exterior worlds, focusing on healing in relation to nature and the built environment. Born on the traditional and unceded territories of the Secwepemcul'ecw and Syilx First Nations, Fisher continues her artistic and professional practices on the unceded territories of the K'omoks Fire Nation. Alongside her creative work, she engages with natural medicine as an integral part of her research and methodology.
