The Quesnel Rodeo, including Barrel racing action, primarily takes place at Alex Fraser Park in July. Due to the large number of Barrel Racing Competitors, a separate competition has been scheduled for May 22nd & 23rd to reduce the number of racers in the Quesnel Rodeo. This allows the length of the rodeo to remain at a reasonable allotted time. Friday, May 22nd, the Barrel Racing Slack will begin at 6:30 pm, with regular racing starting at 7:30 pm. Prize money will have $3000. added. Also on May 23rd, the slack will begin at 11:30 am, with regular racing starting at 1:00 pm with $3000. added. Come down to Alex Fraser and cheer on our local, and your favorite racers.
