Gold Rush Trail Sled Dog Mail Run
The historic mail run takes you back in time to when mail was carried by dogsleds in the winter. The run is your opportunity to have your specialty-designed envelope carried by dogsled on part of its joinery over Cariboo trails to you and your friends. Canada Day
Celebrate Canada Day with a fun, family-friendly celebration at LeBourdais Park, hosted by the City of Quesnel! This FREE community event features live entertainment, kids’ arts and crafts, face painting, and a giant slip-n-slide for the whole family to enjoy. Bring your lawn chairs, gather your friends and family, and spend the day celebrating Canada with great activities in one of Quesnel’s favourite parks.
Billy Barker Days
Billy Barker Days is a family festival celebrating the gold rush heritage. The festival features four days of entertainment for those seeking action, relaxation, fun and excitement. The community comes alive with business decorating, 1860’s costume rentals, Seniors’ Day and Kids’ Day, free stage entertainment in the park, plus the midway, dances, parade, rodeo, the Gold Dust Mall, fireworks, and many other activities sponsored by other community organizations.
Quesnel Bike Festival
A family-friendly 3 day mountain bike festival hosted by the City of Quesnel and the Gold Rush Cycling Club that includes a Jump Jam, Pump Track Challenge, 6-stage Enduro, and a beginner-friendly 2 stage Downhill Event
Lhtako Dene Nation Competition Pow Wow
The competition Pow Wow celebrates the skilled dancing, drumming, and singing of First Nations. Held at Lhtako Dene Nation Arbor
The Prospectors Car Club Show & Shine
The Prospectors Car Club Show & Shine annual event on the streets of Downtown Quesnel. Rods, Customs, Classics, Antiques, Bikes, Big Rigs, and Race Cars will be on display.
