Description / Notes
Approximately 10 minutes from downtown, this lake is a year-round stop for recreation. In the summer enjoy sandy beaches, swimming and hiking. A nature trail to a large beaver pond offers the chance to view diverse wildlife up close, without busy tourist traffic. As temperatures drop and lakes freeze over you can cross-country ski, snowshoe or head out on the ice to ice fish. Winter offers cross-country skiing opportunities and snowshoeing through 10 km of trails.
You can borrow an auger, fishing rod and tackle free of charge from the Quesnel Visitor Centre (refundable deposit required).
