K-Max has a little something for everyone, from the new hobbyist to the epic gamer and more. Throughout the years, the store has transformed from a video and DVD rental and sales business to a hobby and game paradise. The store carries pre-owned DVDs, video games, and collector cards. It also stocks a wide selection of games, including card and board games, fantasy, strategy and role-playing games. Role-players will find all their needs met her to equip them for their next adventure. Visitors will also find a large selection of educational and science toys for children from toddler age and up. K-Max is quickly becoming the Cariboo's favorite choice for hobbies, games, toys, and more!

Meet Cameron Malner

Cameron Malner became the owner of K‑Max Hobbies & Games in February 2026, fulfilling a longtime dream of running his own business. With a background in the military, industrial concrete, and years of self‑employment, Cameron brings strong discipline, problem‑solving skills, and a passion for driving projects forward.

Having gone to high school in Quesnel, Cameron is glad to be back and contributing to the local economy. He’s excited to see the positive impact the store has on the community and values the support he received from previous owner Mitch Vik, who provided transition coaching during the handover.

You can find Cameron grabbing a Granville’s latte in town. If you ever need someone to talk movies with, Cam's your man! As a movie lover through and through, he sees how movies express parts of the human experience we can’t always put into words, with the Indiana Jones topping his favourites list. He’s motivated aneager to learn more about business ownership, and proud to be leading K‑Max into its next chapter.
